definition of time management

What is the definition of “management fee” in a contract to operate one of the business of a corporation.

Operating the business has 11 major personnel and requires a clerk to attend to the attendance, payroll, monthly reports preparation of the operation and supplies custodian . The corporation do not include the clerk as operating expense but as part of the management fee. Th contract for the management fee is computed from the gross sales of the operation.

Corporate management fees are charges to cover management operations that are handled at the corporate level and then allocated to the businesses. Administration is the biggest issue (often sales is a corporate function). There is a function in administration that is actually located at teh operation and that is the clerk. So they pay the clerk and include that in the fee.

tips for time management

Most of us complain that we have too much to do and not enough time to get it done. This feeling of being overwhelmed is one of the leading causes of stress and can also make us less likely to accomplish anything. The following tips on time management can help you climb out from under those commitments and create a plan to better organize your time, as well as your life.

The Necessary to Do List

When you have lots of things to get done, chances are that something is going to be forgotten. Then you really have to scramble complete everything in a timely fashion. A To Do list can be a great way to prevent this from happening and a way to prioritize your goals for the day.

The list should be organized in order of importance. For example, if you have a 10 am deadline for a report to your boss that should be at the top of the list while the meme that needs to go out by the end of the week might be pushed to the bottom or moved to the next day. Placing an approximate completion time next to each item on the list is also helpful because it prevents you from being unrealistic about what you can accomplish in one day.

Learn to Say No

Some of the most important tips on time management revolve around the essential skill of being able to know when you can’t take on anymore work. If you have a full schedule for the next three days, you cannot accept a project with a 48 hour deadline. Most of us don’t know how to refuse someone, especially at work. We want to please our boss and our co-workers but we have to learn to draw the line. Otherwise, we may end up pleasing no one because of missed deadlines and sloppy work.

Reward Yourself

If you’re not motivated to work hard and to accomplish your goals for the day, you’re not going to have much luck with time management. To keep your spirits up, find ways to motivate yourself. Keep a box of your favorite candy in the drawer and eat a piece each time you finish a goal. Treat yourself to a round of solitaire after you mark a task off your To Do list. Or buy yourself a little something nice if you complete all of your tasks on time by the end of the week.

Know When You Work Best

All of us work more effectively at different times of the day. Some people are night owls who can only start working once the sun goes down. Other people do better in the morning or right after lunch. Take your own preferences into mind when you’re applying the other tips on time management so you can take advantage of your natural efficiency. Schedule your tasks around that preference so you’re more likely to get them done.

time management video

You have decided that your employees could benefit from better time management. Specifically, you want them to do better at managing interruptions, prioritizing tasks, planning activities, and meeting deadlines.

You did all the right things.  You sent everyone to time management class, showed videos on time management, and bought the latest TIPS books on managing time.  You even emailed your employees several websites that contained some great ideas.  Still, you have seen very few changes. Or if changes do occur, they are temporary.

So how do you encourage improvements, especially the long lasting kind? Try linking the time management improvements you want to your employees’ personal work goals. For example, suppose you wanted employees to do better at prioritizing tasks.  You might explain how prioritizing tasks could lead to achievement of the following personal work goals:

• Increased personal productivity

• Increased personal quality

• Less need to work overtime

• Less personal frustration and stress

• More time available to take a full lunch

• Less time spent on the telephone explaining delays to customers

Don’t fret if you don’t see your employees’ personal work goals on this list.  You will have an endless list of personal work goals to choose from if your employees are not doing a good job of managing their time.  That’s because if they are not managing their time well, they are probably complaining. Use these complaints (or goals) to explain the personal benefits of better time management.

What makes this approach more effective than classes and videos?

This approach is more effective because you create a heightened sense of the value and urgency around better time management.  You also approach improvements with a focus on personal benefits to employees.  Finally, and most importantly, this is not a one time strategy for improving time management.  This is something you can use whenever you talk to employees.  So the next time your employees wistfully talk about how they would love to take a longer lunch, improve their quality, or have less stress, link these goals to a specific time management behavior you want.

simple time management

A simple behavior management technique for a child’s aggressive behavior toward a sibling?

I’d appreciate any ideas for an easy-to-implement behavior management strategy that will help an eight year old male reduce the frequency of his physically aggressive behavior toward two younger brothers. Thank you! If you have a web site reference, thank you doubly. Or triply.

Try to encourage him to feel empathy for his siblings. Instead of focusing on the ‘wrong’ he did in hitting (or kicking biting…whatever), focus on the hurt he caused someone he loves. Say to him, “Oh, now look. You made your brother cry. Go talk to him and see if you can make him feel better”. Don’t show any anger or irritation about it, just the sadness about the other child hurting. At first, he may not even care, but he should start to care about his siblings’ feelings soon. If he consistently doesn’t care, I would begin to wonder if there are underlying issues involved.

business management

“Teach a man to fish and he will never go hungry in his lifetime”

The proverb above can be perfect analogy for Business management. Precisely because, after you learn business management skills you can be certain that you will not be looking back, you will gain enough knowledge and confidence to manage your own business efficiently and effectively.

You will then acquire an insight into the effort and hard work you will have to have to put in your business, business management skills will, as always help you sail through any hardships you may be presented in the world of business management.

Effective business management needs planning and doing various activities at a time, but to do that you need to be fully knowledgeable in your respective field in details. You can also utilize business management books that are widely available online and off-line to help you gain learnings and expertise in this field. A business manager also has to understand business performance, the financial aspects of a business for without which he will bring no good for a business. Effective management needs to have creativity that is, with limited resources, can still extract development.

Creativity Management techniques
There are many strategies for enhancing creativity management. For instance, there are a number of methods of generating novel ideas, several methods of making diverse ideas, various methods of generating large numbers of ideas and several methods of elevating the frequency of idea generation.

But, it is of great significance to realize that techniques–although there may be thousands of them – are only one element of the creativity management process. Inside the scope of the creativity management framework, they fall in the creative thinking against critical thinking domain.

Can creativity be learned and enhanced?
Utilizing the scale of creativity: a)as a number of ideas generated, b) the variations of those ideas, c) the value of those ideas and d) the frequency of their production, we can scale creative output at any point in time.

After that, we can push individuals through a series of learning process, measure them again and find the + or – displacement.

Comprehending mechanisms such as the experience curve, adaptive and generative learning and automisation all show that creativity enhances with practice.
Once you are able to develop these creativity management, surely, you will be able to make good progress in your chosen business.

Sales and Marketing
Sales and marketing are usually used interchangeably, however, these are two different ideas, albeit somewhat similar. But, it is simple to determine between the two. Marketing is the method of attracting and keeping clients while sales is the actual selling of the product or services to the clients. In medium and large sized businesses, people designated for marketing and sales often do not work together, but it is critical to the success of a business for this to be so.

In small businesses, marketing and sales operations are commonly done by the same person, or the business owner. In such a case, there are no communication constrains because only one person is doing the work. The entrepreneur will always make sales and marketing together flawlessly because they are aware of everything that is happening and do not miss out on anything.

time management managers

We are living in a time of financial crisis.  Corporations are laying off thousands of employees. According to the United States Department of Labor and Statistics, the number of unemployed persons rose by 592,000 to 9.4 million in August 2008. While banks and insurance companies like AIG are on the verge of bankruptcy.  It seemed that no one knew exactly what to do.  So the government is bailing them out.  There are too many people talking about the crisis and too few that offer solutions for the common person.  Panicking will only add to the confusion that is pervasive in the country.  The financial crisis should force each family to review all personal bills, financial  investments and family insurance plans.  It’s time to manage your money.

A smart financial plan begins with your own research and study of your financial circumstances.  If you have not heard from your retirement company give them a call.  You want to maximize the amount of information that you use to make good financial decisions.  Don’t feel pressured to move money around or to take your money out of the bank and hide it.  Remember your money is insured up to $100,000 for each bank where your money is deposited.  It is still a good idea to have a conversation with the bank manager about your money.  Get everything in writing so that you know what your bank will and will not do if it fails.

This is one time when procrastinating does not work in your favor.  Everyday you could be losing money.  It’s time to have a plan of action that you will follow.  Your job may offer a financial planning workshop.  Make time to attend a session. Prepare a few questions prior to the meeting.  Ask if there is some type of financial planning website that you can review.

Most adults have never attended any type of money management class.  They do what their parents did with their money.  Their bills were continuously behind and the house was loaded up with the things that they wanted.  When a person who freely spends marries a thrifty person their can be conflicts over money.  This type of conflict can strain any relationship.  In fact financial management issues are one of the primary reasons that married couples break up.  Agreeing to manage your money with some flexibility must be a priority.  Each single person and married couple should have a financial plan.

One of the effective things that you can do at this time is cut back on unnecessary expenses.  Eliminating fast food from your diet may be one way to save money.  If you decide to make this change you will improve your health and financial situation at the same time.  If you go to Dunkin Donuts in the morning, McDonald’s during the afternoon and to a restaurant at night you can easily spend $50.00 a day and by doing this several times each week you will spend hundreds of dollars.  Taking control of your budget means looking at every aspect of your life and considering the changes you must make.

Your goal should be to pay off bills and cut up all credit cards.  Did you know that if you are late paying one bill your interest rate on other credit cards can go up?  Paying your bills on time is an important habit.  When possible pay a little more money on each bill.  Get a copy of your credit report and eliminate any statements that are not true.  Remember that banks and credit unions will look at your credit report score when you want to make a loan or ask for a line of credit.  Manage your money by putting yourself in a position to pay off your financial obligations.

We each have a free will to choose how to manage our individual financial obligations.  Learn to be content with what you have rather than letting your friend influence your buying decisions.  Purchasing a $4,000 flat screen television may not be in your budget.  Remember you can enjoy freedom when you manage your money and plan to live a stress free life.  While the country is in this financial crisis you can still have peace by following your financial plan.
