It is essential for high school students to be organized. If you are a high school student, it may seem like you are always running out of time and all you do is study and never get enough time with your friends and family.

Listed here seven tips for you to follow to make life of high school students easier and add extra time for you to be with your friends and family:

1- Set the target everyday – Before you go to bed, list down all the matters you want to accomplish on the next day. A ‘to do” list will help you to know what you are going to do and avoid doing unimportant tasks, of which will get everything done more efficiently and faster.

2- Prioritize your list of target – Once the “to do” list completed, try to prioritize the goals you want to achieve. Set your most important goal in life on top of your priority and your least important goals to down below on the list.

Be realistic on your list. It is better to list on what you need to achieve and not on what you want to achieve. If you have a long-term priority, it is probably best that you put it on the bottom of your list; you can always work on that tomorrow.

3- Utilize your spare time – As a high school student, sometimes you may not notice you have lots of spare time. Try to add up the minutes of the school bus ride to school and the school bus ride back home.

Use these times to create strategy of how to finish your homework effectively. By doing this, you will get an idea on what you need to do on your homework when you get home. This allows you to finish your homework faster and have extra time for other things.

4- Finding the right time – Sometime, students have specific time to study more efficiently. For instance, you can solve your math problems well on the afternoons; then do not wait until nighttime to do it. Mood is important here since mood can shifts immediately.

5- Taking notes – An effective way to study is to write down important notes. It is proven much better than just plain reading. Writing down notes has an effect on your mind. You can understand the topic more effectively and memorize it more effectively than by just reading.

Review your notes as your teacher might give a pop quiz on the next day. Reviewing your notes will help you be more prepared for the pop quizzes that your teacher may suddenly give.

6- Get adequate sleep – It is unhealthy trying to stress yourself out studying when you are supposed to be sleeping. It can bring ineffective results and unwelcome health problems.

If you need to sleep you have to sleep, do not force yourself to study if you cannot effectively study. If you try to study in this situation, you will most likely waste your time.

7- Keep your goals realistic – Trying to accomplish unrealistic goals can often result in failure and frustration. Setting realistic goals that is difficult and achieving it can give you self-worth and be proud on your achievements.

Just remember, everything you need to accomplish in one day is possible if you are organized and plan everything you do in a day.

Lawyers are notoriously short on time. It’s the nature of the beast – even if you’re self-employed, you’re largely at the mercy of court schedules, deals that come together and fall apart at the most inopportune times, piles of paperwork that need your review and/or sign-off, and – last but certainly not least – your clients.

You probably bill on the basis of your time in one form or another, and it’s important to remember that the time you spend outside of work is every bit as valuable. Regardless of what type of writing you aspire to do, it’s a process that takes time. You can’t even begin to worry about skill, style, or hypothetical future publication and book-signings until you’re actually doing the work of writing on a consistent basis.

The trick is remembering that time works for you and not the other way round. Think of it like a sulky Doberman – once you get it trained to do what you want, you have an intimidating ally on your side. (Letting it slobber all over you, on the other hand, gets you nowhere.)

Here are some fundamentals to keep in mind:

1. Do one thing at a time. Multitasking may make you feel like you’re being more efficient, but chances are you’re just doing several things badly. Also, since your attention can be in only one place at any given time, you’re missing out on huge chunks of your life when you try to multitask – this can be particularly unfortunate if you’re operating heavy machinery (or mindlessly munching your way through the jumbo-size bag of Cheetos).

2. Be realistic. Stuffing your to-do list for a given period of time with more than is humanly possible to finish will leave you feeling frantic and frustrated. Instead, hit the highlights and make sure you’re not being overly ambitious about how long it will take to get them wrapped up. Even Superlawyers aren’t Superhuman.

3. First things first. It’s incredibly tempting to put off the big, unappealing tasks for later and knock off the little, easy stuff first. Be strong and resist this tendency – tackle the biggest, ickiest task on your list first (Brian Tracy, guru of goal-setting, calls this “eating the frog”). You’ll feel like a rock star and have energy to spare for everything else on your list.

4. Two key questions. With everything you do, ask yourself:

* “Is this something I should even be doing?” You’ll be surprised at how often the answer is “no” – it may be something that should be done later, delegated to someone else, or not done at all.

* “Will this get me where I want to go?” You may decide to proceed regardless of the answer – see above re: Cheetos – but it’s an important question that, over time, will help you shape the life you want.

These are some tips for making sure you hire a good property management company that will professionally and efficiently manage your property, helping you turn your home/apartment/condo/commercial property into a steady investment.

What online project collaboration software do you recommend for managing client projects?

I am looking for a hosted project collaboration tool to manage my client projects. Some of my requirements are:
1. It must be intuitive and easy to use.
2. It must have basic project management features like tasks and milestones with the ability to specify due dates.

Basecamp is the simplest to learn but it has limited project management features. Note that you do not have the ability to assign due dates to to-do items in Basecamp.

Central Desktop is the most full-featured of the three: it includes many additional features like online databases, customizable pages, and web meetings (costs extra). The amount of features makes it harder to learn, though, which might be a problem if you are using this with clients.

My personal favorite is TeamWork Live: it has Basecamp’s ease of use but it is much more full-featured. It is also fully integrated with email so your clients don’t even have to login in to the site to collaborate with you. They can simply reply to the notification emails and it will automatically be saved to TeamWork Live. They have other features which I really like too, such as a full-text search engine and an internal Gmail-like messaging system.

Amongst the many business and management tools in the corporate world right now, one of the most effective ones would certainly be the balanced scorecard. This is because the tool exists to measure a company’s present status against the goals and objectives that the company had planned to achieve in the first place. What are these goals and objectives? These are both the long-term and the short-term goals that the company had aimed to achieve during the first few years of its existence. These might even be the goals and objectives that the company had set up during its very foundation. There are many aspects that come with the balanced scorecard, and explaining these can be a bit difficult. This is especially true when you are explaining the tool to people who do not really recognize it that much. Thus, it would be so much better to prepare a balanced scorecard PPT presentation.

A PowerPoint presentation can be used to discuss the different aspects of the balanced scorecard. You have to bear in mind that not all of the members of your audience are familiar with the balanced scorecard. The terms that you use, even if these are simple to your own ears, these just might not be easy to grasp for the common person. But when you present the aspects in a PowerPoint presentation, the technicalities just might be made easier to understand. Moreover, the PowerPoint application actually allows your audience to be interactive during the whole presentation. You can insert animated images, to make the presentation all the more interesting. You are discussing a business concept, after all, and any business concept might become a bit tedious or boring to discuss. Capturing and maintaining the interest of your audience is indeed a must here.

So, what should your PPT presentation contain? For one thing, it should include the four perspectives of the balanced scorecard, as well as its measures, its targets, and its initiatives. You should also present the inherent roles and responsibilities of every member of the company or organization, from the higher management, all the way to the frontline employees who face customers every single workday. Moreover, you should include the benefits of using the balanced scorecard as a tool towards a more efficient management system.

And if that is not all, you should also discuss the four perspectives of the balanced scorecard very thoroughly, which are Customer Perspective, Regulatory/Financial Perspective, Internal Perspective, and Learning and Growth. The aspects categorized under these perspectives should also be discussed.

Lastly, you should also explain how the measurements should be panned out. For instance, discuss how the measurements should be able to translate the expectations of customers into reachable goals. Discuss how measurements should evaluate the processes that take place, as well as their quality.

With a balanced scorecard PPT presentation as detailed and thorough as this, you will surely have no problem discussing every nook and cranny of this management tool.
