. This can affect everything from one’s performance at work, to a student’s grades in school. However, there are ways to end procrastination, and therefore improve one’s time management skills.

How effective is this type of skills?

Having this type of skills means that you know how to utilize your time wisely. When you can have a list of tasks for a day and accomplish them all in the established time frame, you know that your time management skills are sharp.

However, not everyone has this skills. When the skills aren’t utilized or are missing, we can see for ourselves the problems that it causes. Things aren’t done on time and there is time not accounted for.

To make a wasted day useful, we can often feel the impact emotionally as well as practically. It doesn’t make us feel good to know we wasted our day away when we had important tasks to be completed.

To have an effective skills, you have to have a day planner.

You have to know what things in your life you were doing to waste time, and eliminate them. Once you have this taken care of, you can go on to the next step. This is to start planning your day.

Stick to some basic rules (and common sense) with planning. Don’t plan over 168 hours of your week (or forget to plan for sleeping and other necessary activities) and be realistic with the goals you set for yourself. If you know it takes 20 minutes to do a project, don’t put down 15 minutes. This is not effective time management process.

What did employers are looking for in their employees?

Employers like to see people who have good, effective skills in their lives. If time management is not used in a business, that business will lose profits. Losing profits is not what the boss has in mind.

Not to mention that without the use of your effective time managing skills, your boss will think you are lazy in the work force. When you use time management effectively, you are able to see what could be helped in the situation of wasting time. However, effective time managing skills require you to be disciplined.

What type of life are you looking for?

If you want to see your life become more rewarding and fulfilling, effective time management skills are a must. However, to successfully adopt these skills you will need to follow the plans you set for yourself each day.

The key here is to learn how to convert your wasteful habits into positive ones – you will have to do it one step at a time. It is not hard to develop these skills but the process takes time – and since time is already scarce, it is best if you get started now.

If your wasted time is eliminated, so is the stress of the deadlines. You will find your work being noticed in a positive way and that you will have a lot more time for achieving your life goals.

Even though, you may now know how to adopt effective time managing kills and tips, but all words no actions is simply does not make your goals come true.

Take action now is the most right thing to do if you want you goals realized. Without an effective and good time management system, there will not be much goal-oriented lifestyle to hope for.

Understanding the fact that a good skills may be easy to follow and implement and now allowing you to side-track is really allowing you to enjoy your life once again. So, please don’t wait any longer before giving another excuse to realize your goals again.

The goal of any business is to make money. Whether or not a project is going to make money or lose money is often decided in the planning and beginning stages of a project. When calculating profit an estimate is key.

To come up with an estimate, a project manager usually speaks with the client and talks about the scope of the project. What is the number one valuable asset that your business ever had? That’s of course yourself. Ok, but what aspect of yourself? It is absolutely your time. Your time is valuable. As we all know, we have only 24 hours in a day and the time that you spend on your business, it must be done productively, that makes you money.

There are 4 different activities spending your time to produce results in your day;

Direct cash producing activities. This is the number one priority. Contact leads, communicate with prospects. Do everything that revenues commissions. Position yourself as the expert.

Spending time on your administrivia (excuse me for the word). Understand where your money is going. Track your stats, arrange the registration forms, bookkeeping, accounting, setting up your schedule for the week.

Spending time on learning. You have to master new tools, new techniques for growing your business. Maintain a students mentality.

Spending time on your business back end. After transactions, what happens with your clients, support them, help them growing their businesses. Make a database of happy clients.

Now we know what activities we have to master, but how can we divide these in time perspective? It totally depends on yourself. Where are you in your business? Although the direct cash producing activity is the most important one, if you are a beginner, then it will be the learning activity worthy to master. So, the more you are getting skilled, the more the other activities will come in and take the necessary time to spend.

So, let’s put this into practice and actually use it;

You need to understand where you at, starter, mid-level or advanced marketer concerning which of the 4 activities you spend most of the time on.

Write your schedule out, total numbers of hours you are working the business, write it down. If there are some changes in your schedule and believe me, it happens all the time, change it. Be honest with it. See what you actually doing after a week.

How much time have I spend doing anything else. Things that were not related to the 4 activities given before. Making a schedule is a tool, something to use for better results, be objective.

At last, let me quote John D. Rockefeller, the founder of the Standard Oil Company, about time. He knew how to construct and focus his time effectively.

“Do not many of us who failed who achieved big things, fail, because we lack concentration, the art of concentrating the mind on the thing to be done at the proper time and to the exclusion of everything else”.

There have been volumes written on time management in the personal development and self-help space, but, I would like to tackle this issue form a different angle all together. I would like to explore this art of time management from a spiritual perspective, which I think you will find to be surprisingly useful and beneficial.

The key to spiritual time management is not complex at all, but at the same time, it is not easy to do. The key is to do what needs to be done right away without making excuses. This is a great lesson to learn when it comes to living spiritually. You job is to do the very task that is right under your nose right away. That’s it.

Life places in front of you what needs to be done. Do it! Don’t delay, don’t debate, don’t make excuses, don’t over think, act. If you don’t act, you may not cause the end of the world, but you will create blockages in your life.

Your inner voice constantly reminds you of what needs to be completed. Not taking heed, and ignoring or getting out of these responsibilities, causes the following three problems.

Problems Caused by Not Acting Right Away:

1. Opportunities Lost:

Opportunities that may have been lined up for you are lost. Often by completing some tasks, we open the door to certain opportunities. These can be lost by not acting in time. Return that phone call, go to the gym, email your friend, do what life has indicated you need to do, so that the doors that are meant to be opened, open.

2. Consequences:

A chain of events can be triggered by your actions, or inactions. So heed your inner voice and do what you know you need to get done, right away. It is very possible that not you, but others have to suffer because you did not carry your load in time.

Along the same lines, I often notice that tasks not done in time, can often create much bigger problems, is left to fester. Like that glass left on the dinning table, that then gets knocked over by the kids and creates a big mess. I see such consequences all the time.

3. Back-log Forms:

As the list of tasks accumulate, you start to get dragged down by the weight of these pending duties. You don’t feel very light or energetic and it eats away at you subtly from inside. When you clear your slate, you not only feel energized, but you make room for your life to move forward and for new pathways to open up. Otherwise, you start to stagnate. Summary:

One of the biggest challenges you will face when trying to go about doing what needs to be right away, is your mind. The mind is very manipulative and a master at making excuses. You will have to be very aware, to catch when you are just making excuses, and you will have to be strong to not give in to them.

The one very good thing about this technique is that it creates it’s own momentum. In other words, the more you are on the ball, getting things done, the more energy you will find yourself having and the more confident and ready you will feel when the next task arrives. So just get started. In any moment when a task pops up for you to do, remember the Nike commercial and Just Do It!
