there are moments very recently when the way i feel can only be described as the world hitting me from all sides. (i know that i have been way angsty of late here, mainly because i don’t have time to blog all of the awesome that happens every day (although after friday, i will most definitely be recapping you on my THREE bridal showers…all of which were VERY different, i can assure you). ) people told me that things were going to be crazy.

there are big things going on these days. people are gettin’ hitched, having babies, and more. my news may not be as life-changing or impressive but it’s still a big deal for me and therefore worthy of sharing.sunday night, embracing a new joy-free life, i had a first.yup, yup, yup–i mowed my lawn!this was HUGE!though there are many things i have loved about my 6 years of living with joy, the fact that mowing the lawn wasn’t a “man job” in her mind was a nice perk.

As many of you know, I use RocketMatter as my case management program for my legal practice. Are you saving more or less money than you were 10 years ago? According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis the 1st quarter of 2009 indicates that Americans are saving more now than they have in over 10 years. The chart below shows the savings rate (as a percent of disposable income) and the fluctuations we have seen in the last decade. What is interesting to note is that back in the 80s people were saving more than 10%.

by Jason Kamen Relaxation is an important and strived for state for most humans. After a long day of working, it is necessary for people to unwind with some kind of relaxing activity. Each individual has their own idea of a relaxing set of activities, but most people agree on what is relaxing and what is not. There are many complex ways to relax, but an easy method of relaxation involves just thinking. If you are in a comfortable position and setting, taking a long time to think about your situation and life in general can be quietly stimulating.
